# Complex number

I am actually wondering what is meant by complex solution mentioned in lv 5 Number and Algebra set.. is it referring to the number which can be written as a+bi where i is imaginary number ?

The nomenclature for non-real numbers is...interesting. If the number has both a real part and an imaginary part, then it is considered "complex". If it has no real part, then it is considered "purely imaginary".
