# Help needed to upgrade to $Brilliant^2$.

Guys I'm trying to upgrade to $Brilliant^2$ but on payment page when I click on Pay button, it says This card was declined . I'm using a debit card for payment. Could anyone please help me. Plz reshare this post so that someone who knows the reason why is this happening can help me. Thanks in advance!

So sorry you had to see that screen, there is likely nothing wrong with your card. In our experience Indian banks are extremely reluctant to approve international online purchases through debit cards. Our Indian members experience more success purchasing Brilliant Squared using either credit cards or debit cards specificaly approved for online purchases.

One extra thing you could try is if you have an android device, you could log onto the the app, and try to purchase using a google wallet. This sometimes has a higher success rate than processing a debit card through stripe in India.

We are working to enable additional indian payment options in the next month(net banking and paytm wallet). When that is live there will be yet another option.

Why do you seem so small in your profile pic ? Is it from when you were younger ?

Im not able to pay through Google wallet either buddy! :( I think I have to wait till Brilliant team allows upgrade through paytm or netbanking as I have done some successfull transaction through them.

And the profile pic you see is of 10th class science exhibition held in our school i.e. two years ago! No wonder why I look younger in it. :)
