Seeing the past results of people present on brilliant, i could observe that only 3-4 people of a single batch do "really well" in jee!! this urged me to ask question to the fellow people on brilliant that "is spending time on brilliant really helpful for jee preparation?"

NOTE: - i have no hard feeling for anybody on brilliant, this note is just coz of my curiosity!

It can be helpful and its not necessary for you to use brilliant. Use it if you like it and also learning new things. It can be really helpful because there are many good questions for JEE and there are many people(some teachers and some passouts) who can help you in preparation. I use it because i get to become a part of this amazing community and learn new things.

gud to hear ur response... thanks for sharing!! (i hve a ques fr u-- does ur skill urges u to do brilliant?? (skill on ur prof page))

Arpan Banerjee, Prakhar Gupta, Raghav Vaidyanathan, Utkarsh Singh and Karan Siwach are among the ones who worked on Brilliant. They made us all proud. There could be many more in the merit list of IIT-JEE 2015.

- 2 years, 7 months ago

This year the result will be much better than last year, maybe 3-4 people with AIR less than 100.

- 2 years, 7 months ago

See this years result and then comment !! :)

- 2 years, 7 months ago

now i saw the result and its just the same!! just a handful of people above 2000!! now what do u think?

- 2 years, 7 months ago

As much as I know you are from vmc and so the coaching stuff - modules, workshops, tests are more than sufficient for JEE. But in your comment 'handful of candidates in top 2000' please go through the fact that how many people attempted this years paper from brilliant, I think there were handful attempters as well :)

- 2 years, 7 months ago

no there were many from brilliant who attempted the paper!! + were u in alpha batch and congrats for ur 910 rank+u r featured on vmc's website too!! congo!

In regular-x

- 2 years, 7 months ago

people like krishna, saketh, tanishq varshey, roopesh and many more score much less marks than expected!! though they spend much time on brilliant!! what do u say in this? (this is just my opinion...no hard feelings for anybody pls!)

- 2 years, 7 months ago

First of all, luck matters a lot in jee :) Now it all depends on you whether to use brilliant as a source of recreation, knowledge or as a source for preparation of jee. Honestly, I have personally never seen people so brilliant and genius in physics and maths like deepanshu, saketh and ronak are exceptional in physics in my views. So, due the wonderful community here, I personally cannot resist myself from using brilliant.

thanks for ur useful comments!! i'll manage my time accordingly now onwards!!

- 2 years, 7 months ago

Were you in founders batch?

- 2 years, 7 months ago

No, but in regular-x

- 2 years, 7 months ago

What was the range of your ranks in the periodic tests (mains and advanced) conducted by vmc? Actually, I wanted to know what rank in VMC tests translates to a 3 digit rank in JEE. ( I am in VMC).

- 2 years, 7 months ago

My overall rank was around 60 in vmc advanced tests and 80 in mains, best around 40 and worst ( in jee mains-1 ) around 590. 2nd worst was around 300.

There are plans to develop out JEE preparation much further! Stay tuned for more information.

Most of Brilliant is currently catered towards "I want to learn more about interesting fun stuff". Through such exposure, you will pick up the necessary knowledge and information to work on the JEE problems. Of course, such an exploratory path would not be the most efficient way to prepare for such a specific targeted exam.

Is there a reason why almost everyone here is indian? I haven't seen a single post for preparation help for English unis. We have somewhat tricky entrance exams too (STEP). I was thinking of posting a few of my favourite questions from the Cambridge entrance exams.

- 2 years, 5 months ago

People have posted many jee questions and notes, so i believe you dont need more plans but it would be very good if you will include all those questions under JEE topics.
