Olympiads!!

How does one prepare himself/herself well for competitions like IMO or IPhO ?? Does it require practice and lots of love for the subject ,or does it require some IQ too??

Intl Olympiads require love for a subject. Moreover u have to start studying the subject u love ,a bit early. And u gotta know a bit more. Just knowing will not work, ur problem solving skills, how u strategize a problem, everything wi be tested
