Please note: Per our Terms of Use, all charges to Brilliant are nonrefundable. Any refund or credit we issue is provided solely as a courtesy, at Brilliant's discretion, and does not create an ongoing policy or obligation.
Where you go to ask about a refund depends on where you subscribed:
If you subscribed on brilliant.org (web):
-
Cancel your subscription: Log into your Brilliant account and go to Subscription Settings, then select Manage subscription and follow the prompts to cancel. This stops future charges; you'll keep Premium access until the end of your current billing period.
-
Check for a refund option: If your purchase qualifies for a self-serve refund, you'll also see a Request a refund option in Subscription Settings. Requesting a refund ends your subscription immediately and refunds your most recent charge.
-
Not everyone will see this option — it isn't available for every web subscription. If you don't see it but believe your situation warrants an exception, you're welcome to contact our Support Team; we'll consider it, though most requests outside the self-serve option will not qualify.
If you subscribed through an app store:
Refunds for App Store and Google Play purchases are handled by Apple or Google, not Brilliant — request them directly through the store you subscribed with.
Apple App Store:
-
Visit Apple's Report a Problem page and sign in with your Apple ID.
-
Select "Request a refund" and choose the reason for your request.
-
Select the Brilliant subscription and submit your request.
For more details, refer to Apple's official support page.
Google Play Store:
-
Open the Google Play Store and navigate to your account.
-
Go to "Order History" and find the Brilliant subscription.
-
Select "Request a refund" or "Report a problem" and choose the appropriate option.
For more information, visit Google Play's refund policy page.
Need Assistance?
If you encounter any issues during the refund process or have questions about your eligibility, please contact our Support Team at support@brilliant.org.
Note: Initiating a chargeback dispute with your bank will lock the payment, which will limit our ability to assist. The length of the chargeback dispute review process varies by bank but could take up to 60 days. It's advisable to follow the refund procedures outlined above before contacting your bank.
