The Brilliant Family Plan is designed for households and small groups, with a fixed price for up to 6 seats.

Getting started with a Family Plan

Visit brilliant.org/subscribe and choose the Family Plan.

After you purchase, open Family Management to invite members by email (new or existing users without an active Premium subscription).

Add or remove members anytime from Family Management.
Managing Family Plan members

On the six-seat Family Plan, the administrator is the person who purchases the plan and counts as one of the six seats.

Administrators manage billing and subscription settings.

Members can be added or removed at any time from Family Management; removing a member frees up a seat.

The Family Plan is fixed at 6 seats. If every seat is full, remove a member to free one up before adding someone new.
Single Child plan
The Single Child plan is for a parent supervising one linked child. The child has Premium access, and the parent can use their own Brilliant account to manage the child and view their progress. The supervising parent does not use the child's seat.
This option appears for users who've indicated during sign-up that they're a parent or homeschool family. If you don't see it, contact support@brilliant.org and our team can help you get set up.
Upgrading from individual Premium

Adding a younger learner
Younger learners don't need their own email address to join your Family Plan or Single Child plan. From Family Management, add a child account with their name, age, and a username (an email address works too, but isn't required).
If the child is under the age required by children's privacy law (COPPA, generally under 13), you'll be asked to confirm that you're their parent or legal guardian and consent to the collection and use of their data before the account is created.

Plans for other groups
If you need more than the Family Plan's 6 seats, visit the Group Plans page to choose your group size and see current pricing.
- Each member gets their own Premium account.
- One account administrator manages the group’s seats and counts as one of the seats.
- The plan is billed as one payment each year.
- Removing a member frees up a seat for someone else. You can add more seats when you renew; a full plan cannot be expanded during the subscription.
