Brilliant teaches the core of Algebra 2 — polynomials and their graphs, complex numbers, rational exponents and radicals, rational functions, exponential and logarithmic functions, and the introduction to trigonometric functions and the unit circle — but it spreads that material across eleven courses rather than packaging it as a single course called Algebra 2. Across those courses, 84 Brilliant skills line up with the Common Core high-school standards schools typically teach in Algebra 2.
Common Core does not assign its high-school standards to named courses, so this page follows the traditional Algebra 1 → Geometry → Algebra 2 sequence most schools use.

Polynomials and their graphs
Polynomials is the single best match for the Algebra 2 polynomial unit, with 52 lessons and 16 mapped skills. It covers the arithmetic — Adding Polynomials, Subtracting Polynomials, and Multiplying Polynomials — and then spends most of its length on the part students usually find harder: reading a polynomial from its graph and back again.
That graphical half is genuinely thorough. Roots with Multiplicity and Graphical Factoring ask you to recover factored form from a picture. Polynomial graphs far from 0 and Polynomial Graphs near to 0 build end behavior out of which term dominates where, rather than from a memorized rule about the leading coefficient.
Complex numbers
Algebra 2 introduces complex numbers twice: once as the answer to a quadratic with a negative discriminant, and once as a number system in their own right. Brilliant covers both, in two places.
Quadratics handles the first. Complex Solutions covers N.CN.7, solving quadratic equations with complex solutions. Complex Plane handles the second, with adding, subtracting, and General Multiplication treated geometrically, as scaling and rotating in the plane.
Complex Plane also goes past what a standard Algebra 2 class asks for. Multiple Roots and Roots of 1 find all nth roots of a complex number as evenly spaced points on a circle — useful enrichment for an honors section, and normally a precalculus topic.
Rational exponents, radicals, and rational functions
This is Brilliant’s strongest Algebra 2 strand. N.RN.1 and N.RN.2 on the meaning and manipulation of rational exponents, F.IF.7.d on graphing rational functions, and F.BF.4.a on writing inverse functions are all taught here.
Exponents & Radicals carries the exponent work through Using the Power Rule and Any Fraction as an Exponent.
Equations & Curves is where rational functions live. Vertical Asymptotes, Removable Discontinuities, and Drawing Rational Functions build up to matching an equation to its graph from asymptotes, intercepts, and end behavior.
Exponential and logarithmic functions
Exponential Functions covers F.LE.4 — using logarithms to solve for a variable in an exponent — in Taking Logs of Both Sides. It also handles the part of the unit students most often lose points on: Solutions and Domains and Checking Solutions train you to test log solutions against domain restrictions instead of accepting whatever algebra produced.
The course runs 63 lessons and is built around understanding how exponentials and logarithms behave. For drilling logarithm properties as a computational toolkit, and for change of base, use your class materials.
Trigonometric functions and the unit circle
Most Algebra 2 courses end by introducing trigonometry as a function, not just as triangle ratios. Trigonometric Functions teaches both of the standards that define that transition: F.TF.1 on radian measure, in Radians, and F.TF.2 on extending sine and cosine around the unit circle, in Evaluating Cosine and Sine with Radians.
From there, Amplitude, Period of a Wave, and Phase Shifts cover the transformations Algebra 2 usually asks for. The course as a whole runs well past Algebra 2 into precalculus territory, so work the units your class is actually on rather than starting at lesson one and continuing to the end.
What to supplement
Brilliant is a reasoning-and-practice layer, not a full Algebra 2 course. For these topics, work from your class materials:

Can Brilliant replace an Algebra 2 textbook or class?
No. Brilliant covers most of the Algebra 2 concept load and is strong on the visual, conceptual side of it, but it does not supply a pacing guide, graded assessments, or the specific problem formats your teacher will test. Use it to understand and practice topics, and keep your class materials for scope and assessment.
My class opens with a review unit. Where should I start?
Quadratics and Exponents & Radicals are the two review-level courses in this list — grade bands 9 and 8 respectively. The Axis of Symmetry and Rewriting in Vertex Form are good checks on whether your Algebra 1 quadratics are solid before polynomials get harder.
